Human Resources Manager HR11-00039

Job Purpose

The Human Resource Manager is responsible for contact with prospective and current employees with regards to recruiting, hiring, communication, training, discipline, ADA, FMLA, corporate policy implementation, and more.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

* Coordinate recruiting process as needed.

* Interview, verify references and background checks on prospective employees.

* Support supervisors and managers day to day with relation to HR topics and policy.

* Assist in interpretation of federal and state laws.

* Coordinate training as needed.

* Direct disciplinary procedures.

* Conduct wage surveys as needed.

* Manage ADA, FMLA, and other forms of extended leave.

* Conduct employee related investigations and complaints.

* Provide support for employee benefits.

* Provide support to the HSE program.

* Administer employee substance abuse program.

* Coordinate division events and engagement activities.

 

 

Required Skills/Experience

Bachelor's degree required.

Minimum of 5 years of management experience in human resources discipline.

Knowledge of Maine employment law necessary.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.
