CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT FACILITATOR & PRICING ANALYST HR7-00092

Job Purpose

Support the GM of perforating in facilitating activities throughout the Perforating facilities that eliminate waste and increase throughput velocity thus reducing our internal cost and increasing our speed to market. Work with sales to develop pricing tools that utilize our internal cost/improvement structure to assist in driving market share.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Time studies for production

  • Routing review

  • Product cost analysis

      • Variance analysis

      • Setting cost standards

         

  • Maintaining product classes in m2m

  • Recommend pricing changes based on margin analysis

      • Margin analysis by product

      • Recommendation by product

      • Sales history

  • Self-Starter - Taking initiative to identify further needs within production support

  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Experience

         Education and Training

  • High school diploma or the equivalent is preferred.

  • BA/BS degree in Business or related field preferred.

     

    Experience

  • 3-5 years working in cost analysis or similar field.

     

    Technical Requirements

  • Proficient print reading.

  • Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions.

  • Able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in a written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

  • Excellent understanding of Flow Manufacturing/waste elimination and the expected results.

  • Strong desire to learn and openness to teach.

  • Strong collaboration with Regional Managers, Sales, Operations Leadership and plant personnel (Production and Shipping).

  • Working knowledge/experience in understanding manufacturing processes, productivity, and efficiency measurements.

  • Sound knowledge of supply chain processes and procedures including manufacturing planning, demand and replenishment processes.

  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to reason and influence at all levels.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

  • Strong problem solving and analysis skills.

  • Able to manage complexity and resolve conflicts that arise from balancing multiple priorities.

  • Able to provide improvement to processes as required.

  • Excellent understanding of costing/pricing and the non-relationship.

  • Proficient in MS office applications

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

     

    Certificates, Licenses & Registrations

    Must have a valid driver’s license and record that conforms to company’s insurance policies.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. (These vision requirements relate to obtaining a valid driver’s license and recognizing current Hazmat warning labels that are color coded.)  

Work Environment

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.  The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in outside weather conditions.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.  Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts and vehicles.  The appropriate OSHA approved Personal Protective Equipment is required when in the facilities (varies by location).
