Job Purpose

Perform gun loading assembly procedures working in a moderate to fast pace hands-on assembly process.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Gun Loader 1:

Performs duties in a safety intensive environment where everyone's safety is paramount.

Works on a team, while maintaining a clean and well organized work area.

Complies with safety, quality and job specific policies and procedures and takes appropriate action when they are aware of any non-conformance.

Works under diect supervision of trainer and production foreman.

Demonstrates that they can meet the general requirements and job duties of the position with normal supervision.

Locate and gather parts and perfom assembly work by following blue prints, written or verbal instructions and/or by customer request.

Maintain a clean and safe work area.

Report defective materials.

Places charges in charge tube according to customers shot density and length of gun.

Puts detonating cord, wires, tubes, etc., according to gun configuration and type.

Able to wire gun, and check wiring through gun.

Maintains paperwork regarding inventory of parts used to assemble gun.

Maintains daily magazine log for accurate inventory.

This position requires on-site presence to perform the essential duties.

Other duties as assigned.

Gun Loader 2:

Demonstrates above average competence as a Gun Loader 1.

Performs job duties with minimum supervision, and with thoroughness and completeness.

Supports Team Leaders, Supervisors and company goals.

Demonstrates strong understanding of safety, quality and work instructions.

Familiarizes with and completes applicable paperwork per part number.

Demonstrates strong leadership behavior, acting as a positive role model for others.

Operate forklift truck, pallet jack, and/or dolly to move, convey, or hoist production to storage or shipping location.

Use of measurement devices such as a Tape Measure, Dial Calipers, and Multi-meter.

Other duties as assigned.

Gun Loader 3:

Meets all desired qualifications for Gun Loader 2.

Understands and can perform all given work instructions without direct supervision.

Can assemble all parts within the facility.

Has excellent understanding of all required paperwork pertaining to gun loading manufacturing.

Demonstrates strong leadership behavior, acting as a positive role model for others.

Accepts responsibility for and perseveres with difficult and unpleasant tasks.

Will train new employees in the methods and processes utilized to manufacture products. Continuously monitor the skills and competency of all assembly personnel to maintain the highest level of finished product quality.

Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Experience

Knowledge of quality sytems (ISO, ED, ETC.).

Good hands-on mechanical aptitude and ability.

ABle to work in a repetitive detailed, slow to moderate pace environment.

Detailed oriented and cand focue on small defects.

Able to interface with both technical and non-technical personnel.

Able to provide improvement to processes as required.

Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbres, common fractions and decimals.

Strong hands-on mechanical aptitude and ability.

Posses technical aptitude.

Able to read, understand, learn and follow written and verbal safety, quality and work instructions.

Bilingual a plus.

Must have a valid driver's license and reocrd that conforms to company's insurance policies, ATF, DOT, and State of other required Hazmat Training.

Must meet Hunting Titan/OSHA fork truck driver license requirments.

Authorized to work in the United States.

Able to meet ATF and regulatory security requirements.

Must be a US Citizen, or lawful permanent resident of the United States (student VISA does not qualify), in accordance with ATF Regulations.

The employee frequently handles packaged/boxed explosives, explosive articles and/or explosive powders and pellets. This may also involve instructing others in the proper handling, use, storage and transportation of these explosives. The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

The employee frequently works with explosives and with powders, sometimes in a dusty environment and occasionally around fumes. Workers must not be overly sensitive (allergies, rashes, etc.) to working in these conditions. While rare, any accident could be catastrophic and potentially result in injury or death to many employees.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. These vision requirements relate to obtaining a valid driver’s license and recognizing current Hazmat warning labels or markings that are color coded.

Gun Loader 2:

One year of relevant industry experience in gun loading manufacturing.

Must possess good organizational and leadership skills and be familiar with terminology and part numbers used in and aaround the business community.

Must be able to recognize and be discreet with sensitive financial, personnel, and other business related information.

Must have the ability to manage and work with people in a harmonious way to accomplish the task assigned to this position.

Bilingual a plus.

Gun Loader 3:

Two years of relevant industry experience in gun loading manufacturing.
