HSE Supervisor - Pampa HR7-00247
Job Purpose
Implement and oversee the company-wide Health, Safety and Environmental Management System at one or more facilities, supervising any HSE personnel at such facilities. This position requires on-site presence and acceptable attendance to perform essential duties.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
• Actively participates in continuously improving the HSE Management System for the company.
• Implements and maintains the HSE Management System at assigned facilities. This includes review and revision of HSE procedures as appropriate or needed.
• Supervises HSE personnel at assigned facilities.
• Leads the HSE management system review and audit program at assigned facilities. This includes root-cause analysis of non-conformance findings, identification and completion of corrective actions.
• Leads the HSE management system review of incidents or injuries at assigned facilities. This can include root-cause analysis and identification and completion of corrective actions.
• Implements the HSE training program that enables employee understanding, ownership and positive functional implementation of HSE initiatives.
• Guides the implementation and performance of Job Safety Analysis and/or Process Safety Management as appropriate.
• Oversees and maintains waste streams at assigned facilities in accordance with applicable regulation.
• Ensures all company and regulatory HSE related reporting is timely conducted for the assigned facilities.
• Leads the development and implementation of emergency response procedures and evacuation plans, including periodic practice drills.
• Develops, or participates in the development of, HSE meetings at assigned facilities, encouraging active participation of local management.
• Interfaces, as appropriate, with HSE related government agencies.
• Reports key performance indicators to management, as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Experience
A. Education and Training
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Safety/Environmental related area is preferred.
• Safety certification from an accredited organization is preferred.
B. General Requirements
• Experience delivering training presentations
• Experience in accident investigation, root cause analysis and developing corrective actions
• Experience in performing compliance audits
C. Technical Requirements / Skills
• Thorough knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Highly detailed and precision oriented.
• Able to prioritize objectives, set personal goals and complete tasks within deadlines while maintaining focus between tasks.
• Able to effectively communicate and influence change through others.
• Good basic computer skills
D. Certificates, Licenses & Registrations
• Must have a valid driver’s license and record that conforms to company’s insurance policies, ATF, DOT, and State or other required Hazmat training.
• Able to meet ATF & regulatory security restrictions.
E. Work Authorization / Security Clearance:
• Must be US Citizen, or lawful permanent resident of the United States (student Visa does not qualify).
• Able to meet ATF & regulatory security requirements.
• Must not have any personal or legal domestic or international travel restrictions.
• Able to travel at least 30% of the time.
• Bilingual a plus.
