Manufacturing Engineer (Spring, TX) HR9-00076
The Manufacturing Engineer will plan cost-effective manufacturing proceses and methods in accordance with customer product specifictions and quality standards. They will provide costs for machining, welding, and outside services in support of quotes; recommends and implements improvements to production processes, methods, equipment & controls.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
•Develop top level manufacturing plans based on customer specifications, drawings, internal and outside processing capabilities, internal procedures, and heavy communication with Engineering and Manufacturing.
•Utilize system to input and update quote information, while developing controls and reports to monitor quote processes and provide feedback to management.
Actively participate in the quote process, providing and/or coordinating machining and welding hours, working with Engineering, Quality & Manufacturing.
Develop detailed, clear, & accurate manufacturing routers based on customer specs, drawings, internal & outside processing capabilities, internal procedures & heavy communication with Engineering & Manufacturing.
•Assure product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished product and process capabilities; establish procedures; confirm manufacturing processes.
•Utilize the ERP system to input, update, and Maintain BOM's, Master Routings, and Production Routings as necessary, working closely with plans ners to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
•Design, develop and test and/or source and cost-justify various tools, machinery, and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods.
•Provide key support for manufacturing personnel in the form of answering questions, solving problems, and creating processes to prevent future issues.
•Lead process improvement initiatives such as SMED, 6S, TPM, new equipment/tooling implementation.
•Recommend program changes to provide efficiencies, stabilize processes, and improve quality of products.
•Must have strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize assignments, with a minimum of 5 to 7 years work experience in a manufacturing environment.
•Must have excellent experience using CAD software, ERP software and Microsoft Office.
•Able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully.
•Prefer experience with the Oil & Gas sector, specifically in a Manufacturing Facility.
•Know how to assess own strengths and weaknesses; pursues training/development opportunities to continuously strive toawrds build knowledge and skills.
•Displays willingness to make decisions by exhibiting sound and accurate judgment.
•MUST HAVE Bachelors degree in Engineering (Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, etc.).
MUST BE AUTHORIZED TO WORK IN THE UNITED STATES
•SAP/JD Edwards/Oracle and/or systems experience.
Experience in Subsea Technology a plus.
