X-Y Caliper Tools (DCT)

The X-Y Caliper Tool (DCT13) is run centralised in the production logging toolstring. The caliper arms are set at 90° to each other, to measure casing ID in the X-Y axes. The caliper assembly is fully collapsible down to tool diameter for running into and pulling of hole.

  • Determination of X and Y diameters at 90° in cased hole

  • Measuring of casing deformation and major corrosion

  • Detection of scale deposition in casing or tubing

  • Correction of spinner derived fluid velocity
